Ron did do a little blocking of the first scene. We also have to do our homework, which is continue with creating the world the week prior to this day. As Vernon, I see myself as more an Asst. Principal, who's job it is is to be the enforcer at the school. Occasionally teaching but for the most part, administrating. It will be interesting to see how and why this "teacher for the last 22 years" has changed roles into an administrator. Maybe by choice? Maybe he was asked too? Maybe he felt he couldn't communicate with the students anymore in a class room setting.
The other "homework" I have to complete is the song list that each character is creating, which means I get to do two, one for Vernon and one for Carl. I feel okay with Carl's but Vernon is still developing. I think there will be a little disco that rears its ugly head. Being born in the mid 1940's gives Vern quite the array of musical standards that molded and shaped his life. Does he try to stay current to click in with the kids or is he sticking to what he listened to 20 years before?
